It has been a wet, dreary and cold day today. As much as I want to at least clean the porch, I just can’t because it’s cold out there. I know it’s already winter, but you know what? Our temperatures since winter started have been extremely mild, some days just like spring. It has been in the 40’s today, but during the past days, it was in the 50’s or 60’s. Lucky us, huh?

So, since I can’t clean the outside, I might as well just keep myself busy reading. I am done cleaning the inside so, there’s nothing left for me to do. Well, maybe I will start reading about a cell booster. I don’t think we need one, but it is one of the many things that the search engine gave me after searching for cell phones. It always pays to read, doesn’t it?

I was watching my favorite television show this morning when I heard something drop in my son’s bedroom. It was the home theater system speakers that my husband hung on the wall. They were just sitting on top of the television rack before, but the husband thought it will be good if they were placed somewhere higher, and that was on the wall.

Bad idea eh. LOL. Good thing the speakers were not broke after falling five feet to the floor. I think one thing that protected them was the carpet. Had it been that the floor was hard wood or tiles, I doubt if they would still be okay.

I put them back on the top of the rack. The husband will fix them later.

I’ve been looking for great deals on appliances since last night. Our neighbor got an awesome deal on her kitchen appliances which included a refrigerator, electric stove and dishwasher. I am looking for the same things, plus a home theater system and I did find some that really are so affordable.

There was a side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and electric oven for only 900 bucks. Isn’t that cool? I am still continuing my search for the home theater system. I hope I will be lucky enough to find a samsung home theatre system that would fit our budget. Good luck to me!

My 8-year-old son received a ps3 with a ps3 keyboard and ps3 DVDs on Christmas day from his daddy’s best friend, Jimmy. That was his first acquisition of an electronic gadget and he was overjoyed. It has been his constant companion everyday, especially when his playmates are not here. He is always engrossed in playing with it to the point that he goes to bed late. I just let him stay up late since he’s not enrolled in school yet. But once he’s back, he will have a definite playtime schedule which his daddy will make sure of.

After we arrived from the mall this afternoon my friend Carol showed me the photos of the hotel that they are going to stay at in Maryland. But she had to wait for a few minutes before she finally got to show them to me because they were on her daughter’s laptop and she needed to put batteries in it, cheap laptop batteries that she said she found online. It wasn’t long though and, besides, we were busy chitchatting so it was like we never waited for anything at all.

The hotel is so beautiful. I forgot the name. it has an indoor swimming pool and their room is complete with a living and dining rooms and kitchen. It is like a house. I hope I can stay in that hotel someday too.

We were next door this morning when everybody started talking about smoking. My hubby is a smoker and shared his story. He smoked two packs of cigarette a day during his younger years but cut back when he married me and believe it or not, he only smokes like two to three sticks daily. Bravo!!! But still, I would be happier if he would totally quit. I am not pushing him though. In time, I believe, he will.

Electronic cigarettes and the benefits of electronic cigarette vapor was also mentioned because one of the guys there has been using an electronic cigarette. He mentioned all the pluses and being a non-smoker, I was unaware of the upside of using one. I did listen but I can say, I didn’t pay much attention. For sure, my hubby did. Maybe I will just talk to him about it again tonight.

I am really glad I brought one of my usb drives with me on my journey to the east. I took a lot of photos lately and I couldn’t store them all in the computer because the memory was almost full. I had to store them in my usb drive and, presto, problem solved.

I was thinking of giving it to my brother before because I know how he badly needs one. I still have one back at home though but I think dad’s using it. Well, maybe I will just get him one, one of these days. He would be delighted, no doubt.

I’ve always wanted one of those samsung lcd tvs and it’s on my wish list for this year. It is just one of the many things on the list but I am hoping that I will be able to acquire everything that I have on my list. There’s not that many of ’em though. There are five of them, all of which are electronic gadgets. What can I say? I am one of those individuals who are going gaga over these new hi-tech toys that have been sprouting like mushrooms everywhere. I am keeping my fingers crossed now that I will get them all this year. Please cross your fingers for me too. Hee hee.

Traveling to westward this year was a great adventure for my fiancé. He arrived on Monday but unfortunately, his luggage didn’t arrive with him. The airline that he flew with screwed up royally, leaving his luggage behind where he connected with his international flight and it arrived in our city on the 4th day after his arrival.

He didn’t have clothes to wear but gladly, mom has oversized shirts and dad has oversized shorts  so he made use of them in the meantime. All his toiletries were in the luggage so I bought him some. Good thing he packed his cellphone charger and telephone batteries, I mean, cellphone batteries with him in his carry-on bag or else, his family back home wouldn’t have been able to contact him.

What happened was really annoying and I am hoping we will not experience it on our trip on to eastward. Wish us luck!

After hearing my fiancés hint on the gift that he will give me this Christmas, I can’t help but exclaim, “Yes!” And that’s because I already know what he’s going to get me, none other than the number one thing on my wish list, a notebook computer. Yay!

He’s never confirmed it, though, and he’s still trying to give me all the details without actually giving it away because he wants it to be a surprise, but I am pretty certain that’s what it is. Whoa! I am so excited. I do wonder what color he will get me. Hmmm, Honey, make sure that the color is girly, okay? LOL.
