It was a week before Christmas when my husband’s uncle passed away. It was very unexpected because we didn’t know he was ill. More so, my husband was saddened by it because he wasn’t informed that he was in the hospital so we never got to visit and see him one last time. His brother only called him on the night of his uncle’s passing.
I’d only seen his uncle twice, on Easter Sunday and on Thanksgiving, but even though that was only it, I was happy that I got to meet him. He was a very quiet man and known to be very kind. I can still remember the kind smile on his face when I saw him on those two occasions. I could tell he was really a good man.
We attended his funeral three days before Christmas and we sent his family a sympathy gift basket after that. That may be a sad Christmas for the family, but we know he is now happy where he is with his wife.
I have this girlfriend who just like me is so into bags. Well, it’s one of the many of women’s weaknesses, isn’t it? So for Christmas, I gave her one. And though it wasn’t one of those bags in this website’s wide selection of leather gifts for her, still, she was so happy and delighted about what I got for her. I do know what her taste is when it comes to bags since we have the same likes and, actually, it’s almost the same bag that I got for myself on my birthday. Wooot!
It’s five more days until Christmas. Yeehaw!!!
I am really excited, but I am more excited for my son and my husband. It always excites me to see the expressions on their faces when they open their gifts. Though my gifts are simple, unlike those cheap morgan dollars, I know they will really be surprised, especially the husband. I can just imagine the look on their faces. Teehee.
I was surprised to see a mail in our mailbox today from my sister-in-law’s younger sis who lives in New Jersey. I wasn’t expecting anything from her and she didn’t give me the slightest hint that she was sending me something. Well, maybe she really wanted it to be a surprise.
There was a card and a little something inside the envelope when I peeped in it. I thought the little something was one of those trading pins that I saw her wearing, but it was actually a refrigerator magnet with our niece’s photo on it. That was really cute. I put it on the fridge pronto. That will remind me of my cutie little niece whom I miss terribly.
Though I’ve known my sister-in-law’s grandmother for years, I haven’t had updates of her at all until when I got to talk to my sister-in-law’s mom when we saw each other in Virginia a couple of weeks ago.
She is already weak at the age of 85 and is not in good health. She can’t even stand by herself anymore. That was really a shock for me and I was definitely saddened by it.
As soon as I got home, I sent her a card and sympathy gifts that I ordered online. They were four little angels holding each letter of her name which is Remy. They are really cute and I hope she will like it.
For me, the best gift to give is one that is personalized. It has always been my choice as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings. And speaking of weddings, a good friend of mine is getting hitched soon, but unfortunately, I won’t be able to grace that special moment because of time constraints. But I will for sure give her something special that she will truly remember. I’ve already chosen two from among the personal wedding gifts for couples that I saw online and I can’t wait for her to see it. She will be delighted, no doubt.
I was reading a pronexin review when I heard loud knocks at the door. I thought it was the kids from next door again, but much to my surprise, it wasn’t. it was my hubby’s best friend, Jimmy. He dropped by to deliver gifts for my son. And I was surprised to see what it was: a baseball and a glove plus a Play Station DVD.
He is a baseball coach for the little league here in the city and he was vocal about teaching my son how to play the game this summer. I am so excited about it; more so my husband because he is a huge baseball fan. We all can’t wait for Yogi to start.
This year’s Christmas was really memorable for me because aside from having a white Christmas, I received a lot of gifts, not just from my fiancé but from his family, too; and not to forget, Santa. I never thought Santa would also put something in my stocking but he did. I was a good girl the whole year through, that’s why. Hee hee. That was really a nice surprise and I think Santa talked to my fiance’ because he knew exactly what to give me. It was one of the Rebecca Minkoff handbags that I had told my fiance’ about which we saw online. A conspiracy there, huh! No problem! Thanks, again Santa and to my fiancé for being so generous. Mwah!
If there’s one thing that I am so looking forward to happen, it will be no other than mine and my fiancé’s wedding. It will be in more or less two months’ time and though I kno
w we will be busy and probably exhausted preparing for that big event of a lifetime, still my excitement grows bigger every single day.
It’s yet to happen but I am already thinking of the bestest gift to give him on our first wedding anniversary. I am pretty certain about the wedding anniversary gifts by year and paper being the item for the first year, I already know what to give him after browsing online. He’s a baseball fan and seeing this Home Run Baseball that is made of paper just made me delighted. He will love it for sure.
I know it is way too early to check for anniversary gifts by year and I guess that I simply made it obvious how excited I am for special events such as that. When it comes to the people I love, that’s how I make it extra-special: giving them gifts to show them how much they are loved.
