In spite of problems that encounter on a day-to-day basis, in general, life is good. Those problems are merely life’s spices, and they make life exciting. That is my opinion, and I know that each and everyone of us have different outlooks in life. It is how we view things in perspective that constitutes our outlook. Happiness is a choice, I believe. If you choose to be happy, then you will be. Otherwise, you won’t.
And I guess the people at triangle direct media have the same outlook as me because they are happy people. I believe so because they never fail to brighten my day. Isn’t happiness contagious? It truly is.
Gloomy weather like today makes me think of one thing to do: sleep. I guess I am not the only one who thinks of such a thing in a weather like this. It’s chilly outside and there’s nothing much to do to so I might as well sleep.
But nah! My bed is calling me but I am trying my best not to be tempted. I still have things to do. I am done with the chores, but I still need to take a shower. I was going to take a shower an hour ago, but the latest about Charlie Sheen’s story got me hooked to the TV screen again. Is he really addicted to drugs or is he merely alcoholic? Perhaps he needs heroin detox if drugs are the demon that haunts him.
Oh well! It’s his problem, not mine. But even though I am not a fan of his, still, I am hoping that he’ll get back to the normal life that he once had. He’s pitiful now.
I am a stay at home mom but I am still working and earning. And that’s by being a blogger. I do help the family too in our family business which has been for the last 15 years. But just like any business, ours has its highs and lows. Despite that, we’ve managed to make it a successful home business. We have our office here at home which allows me to be of help as well as do my blogging.
We know that trials will come our way in the future, as it does in any business, but as long as we stay determined to do a good job and be productive, we will continue to be a success, and I’ll get to stay at home and not have to deal with the hassle and stress of the rat race out there in the everyday work world.
Was there a time in your life that you thought of taking sleeping pills so you could get the sleep that you badly wanted and forget about the many trials and pains that life has brought you?
I was in that situation before and I did think of taking those pills but changed my mind eventually. Life has its ups and downs and it’s up to us how to deal with them. Facing them with courage make us a better and stronger person. But if we’re weak in dealing with them, then that would make us an unhappy individual. And who’s going to suffer? Not only us, but those around us as well. Still, one must be well rested and sharp to deal with life’s issues, so it’s not a weakness if you need help in getting your rest.
I normally go to bed between 9 to 10 o’clock in the evening. But last Saturday was different because I slept at already10:30 after finishing a reality TV show that I’ve been watching almost regularly.
Anyway, I already dozed off that evening when I heard knocks on the door. It was dad and it was around 11 o’clock that time. His face was kind of in a panic mood. When I asked him what was it about, he then narrated to me that when he went out of the bathroom, he discovered that the light in the attic was on. He saw its reflection at our home office wherein he can see the view from the bathroom door. He checked the attic and was surprised to see that one of the windows was open. I got scared upon hearing his story but remembered later on that mom went up at the attic in the afternoon. Mom was out of town that night so dad has no one to ask or tell the tale but me. Dad wasn’t satisfied with my answer though. He really thought that somebody got inside the house. It’s a scary thought but gladly, there’s none. Dad still checked the roof though. Yeah, he really went up there to check everything and he found nada.
We questioned mom the next day and oh well, she did forget to turn off the light and forgot to close the window as well. Oh mom! Don’t do that again or you’ll give not just dad a heart attack, but me too.
