I’m glad it’s already Sunday. I’ve been looking forward to this day because this is the only time I can go out with my fiancé because he doesn’t have work. Our plan for today is to shop for gifts for Christmas. We haven’t made a list yet but we’re going to do it in a few minutes. It’s always good to have a list so we will not forget anything.
Aside from the gifts, I will buy thank you cards too for my fiancé’s family. They’ve always been very nice and supportive of us and they certainly deserve to be given thanks. I have this feeling though that a thank you card won’t be enough. If our budget will allow it, they will not just be receiving cards but a simple token of my appreciation as well.
A visit from an elementary friend’s brother surprised me the other day. As soon as I went out of the house to greet him, I know he was carrying good news with him because of the smile on his face. But I never expected that it would be about my friend’s wedding. Well, I am happy for her because she’s tying the knot soon but I actually thought she had already married her long-time boyfriend and had just forgotten to invite me. HEE-HEE-HEE.
I got a simple but nice invitation. The wedding will be on June 8 and I think I will browse for a nice wedding gift and shop for a nice formal dress for me, too, since it will be a formal ceremony. What would be the nicest wedding gift to give? Maybe a prenatal vitamin supply, boxes of ‘em,because I’m sure she’ll be needing them in a few months’ time after the wedding. Just kidding! But you get the idea, huh? (“,)
Yeah, I know I’m already a day late but I totally forgot about it. If my fiance’ didn’t remind me, I wouldn’t really remember. But you can’t really blame me because we don’t celebrate it here in our country. I only read it on blogs before but I don’t really know why they celebrate it and how they celebrate it.
My fiance’ told me about it and yesterday, he did celebrate by having a Shepard’s pie and an Irish whisky at his favorite pub with his friends. I’ll probably get to celebrate it soon and for sure, I’ll get a slice of the Shepard’s pie too. No whisky for me! Hehe.
We were supposed to visit my hubby’s and grandparents’ tombs this afternoon but due to unavoidable circumstances, it was postponed. We were just waiting for sundown so it won’t be so hot and crowded at the memorial park but dad changed his mind. He’s been working since this morning, finishing his drawings for a client which made him exhausted in the afternoon already.
It’s okay though since we still have tomorrow to pay them a visit. And I really hope tomorrow’s plan won’t be postponed like today. It’s been a while that we haven’t visited their tombs and this is the best time to pay respect since it’s All Soul’s Day.
